Weekly recipe: Beer bread a tasty drunken treat
If you want to impress that special someone with your baking skills, make an easy side dish for dinner with friends or just revolt against the overrated low-carb diet, then you need to fill your dorm or apartment with the sweet smell of homemade fresh-baked bread. Grab three ingredients: all-purpose flour, sugar and a can of beer. Then find a loaf pan (a cake pan works if you’re in the mood for a giant bread cracker) and a measuring cup. And if you find yourself surrounded by excess beer on an inebriated night, why not make some bread to soak up the beer you’ve already drank?
Ingredients:3 cups flour1 tbs. sugar1 12 oz. can beer (regular beer works better than light ones)
Instructions:1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees. 2. Grease the loaf pan (if metal). 3. Measure the flour and sugar and dump into the loaf pan. 4. Pour the beer into the pan, slowly (it may bubble).5. Mix well, so all the dry mix is blended into a soft dough.6. Bake for 50 minutes7. Serve and enjoy!
