Paul Harris of Niagara Falls and Devin Brennan-McBride of London, Ontario signed national letters of intent to play for Syracuse, SU head basketball coach Jim Boeheim announced Tuesday.

The 6-foot-5, 220-pound Harris is the Orange’s highest-rated recruit since Carmelo Anthony. He transferred from Niagara Falls High School to Notre Dame Prep in Fitchburg, Mass., during the summer. Harris averaged 20 points and 15 rebounds for Niagara Falls last season, leading it to a state championship and the No. 3 ranking in the nation by USA Today.

Brennan-McBride is a 6-foot-9, 240-pound center. He won a gold medal with the Ontario provincial team in the 2005 Canada summer games in Regina, Saskatchewan.

The Orange has one scholarship remaining for the class of 2006. It’s expected to go Mike Jones, a 6-foot-6 forward from Hopkins, S.C.
