Syracuse schedules pair of exhibition games
The Syracuse men’s basketball team will face off against Cal State-Los Angeles and Le Moyne in a pair of home exhibition matches, SU Athletics announced in a press release Tuesday.
The Orange start with CSLA on Sunday, Oct. 25 at 2 p.m., and then face the Dolphins on the following Tuesday, Nov. 3, at 7 p.m. Both games will be played at the Carrier Dome.
SU played CSLA in its opening exhibition last year, defeating the Golden Eagles – coached by former Orange player Stephen Thompson – by a score of 77-56.
Le Moyne, which was part of SU’s regular season schedule in 2008, is relegated back to an exhibition. SU defeated the Dolphins, 85-51, in 2008.
After the series of exhibition games, Syracuse will host Albany in the opening round of the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic at the Dome on Monday, Nov. 9 at 9:00 p.m. to begin the regular season. The Orange will also face Robert Morris at home before facing California and either North Carolina or Ohio State at Madison Square Garden to round out the tournament.
