Fine allegations : Tomaselli arrested Tuesday for violating bail conditions
The third accuser in the Bernie Fine case was arrested and charged for violating bail conditions on Tuesday, according to an article published by the Sun Journal (Maine) on Wednesday morning.
Zach Tomaselli, 23, of Lewiston, Maine, was arrested because police believe he gave a ride to a minor. This violates the conditions of his release, according to the Maine newspaper.
Tomaselli is facing 11 felony counts as a result of sexually abusing a young boy. Tomaselli plans to plead guilty to some of the counts and will most likely face prison time for his actions, he told The Daily Orange on Monday.
The article states that Tomaselli could not have contact with anyone under the age of 18, except for incidental contact at work. Police believe Tomaselli gave a minor and an adult friend a ride on Monday. Officers arrested Tomaselli on Tuesday at 4:51 p.m., according to the article.
At 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Tomaselli remained in custody at the Androscoggin County Jail, according to the article.
Tomaselli is the third man to publicly accuse the former Syracuse University associate men’s basketball coach of sexually abusing him as a child. Tomaselli has also accused his father of sexual abuse. Both men have denied the claims.
