Syracuse adds another JUCO commit to Class of 2013

Tyler Marona, a defensive end from Pasadena (Calif.) Community College, became the 22nd overall player and eighth junior college player to commit to Syracuse’s Class of 2013 on Monday, Scout.com reported.

No other offers are listed on Marona’s Scout.com page, but Mike McAllister of CuseNation.com reports that he chose the Orange over offers from Colorado and Miami (Fla.).

A 6-foot-5, 250-pound defensive end from La Canada, Calif., Marona attended SU spring practice on Sunday and made his commitment official on Monday.

Marona was a two-star recruit coming out of St. Francis High School, but his only offer came from Colgate. He will have four years of eligibility for Syracuse after playing just one year at Pasadena.
