Thomas is a 6-foot-3, 210-pound linebacker from Collins Hill (Ga.) High School, and is the second player to pledge to the Orange this weekend after two-star defensive tackle Jalen Harvey did so Saturday. Thomas considered offers from Oklahoma, Cincinnati, Indiana and Marshall, according to Scout.com, before choosing SU.
He joins Colton Moskal, Parris Bennett and Zaire Franklin as the fourth linebacker in the Orange’s Class of 2014, and the 20th player to pledge overall.
Cornerback Antwan Cordy verbally commits to Orange
Antwan Cordy also visited this past weekend and pledged to the Orange on Sunday.
The cornerback who attends South Dade Senior (Fla.) High School in Homestead is not rated by Scout or ESPN, but is a two-star recruit on Rivals.com.
Cordy is the fourth player to verbally commit this weekend, joining Thomas, tight end Adley Enoicy and defensive tackle Jalen Harvey. He also considered offers from Duke, Georgia Tech and Minnesota, among other schools, according to Scout.
Cordy joins Lamar Dawson, Cordell Hudson and Juwan Dowels as the fourth cornerback back to verbally commit to the Orange for 2014, and is the 22nd player overall.
