Wardrobe Wednesday: Charlotte Bickley

Charlotte Bickley, an undecided sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences, takes inspiration from high-end department stores and stylish designers on Instagram for her style.

Charlotte Bickley, an undecided sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences, always looks for excuses to wear heels.

Pictured wearing an Iro jacket, a Parker top, J Brand jeans, a Shopbop necklace, Cartier love bracelets and Chanel espadrilles, Bickley doesn’t leave her dorm unless she’s wearing something she loves. She believes no occasion is too casual, and dresses up whenever possible.

“I would say my style is super girly, but I’m also very conscious of current trends. I always try to add my own personal spice to my outfits so they aren’t generic,” Bickley said. “I get so many ideas from style icons, models and magazines, but it’s important to make it my own.”

Bickley said she gets most of her fashion inspiration from fashion Instagram posts. While other girls follow celebrities and well-known models, Bickley digs even deeper, looking for the most stylish designers and high-end department stores.

“I follow Bergdorf Goodman, Vogue and The Coveteur to stay updated on the best trends. I’m especially intrigued by Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s photos,” said Bickley. “Her style is so classy and fabulous, so she’s my biggest inspiration.”

For spring, Bickley is mostly looking forward to wearing her colorful new Chanel espadrilles with one of her many pairs of boyfriend jeans. She said both pieces are spring essentials and can be paired with several other items.

“I’m obsessed with boyfriend jeans,” Bickley said. “I wear them all the time and I love to dress them up with stylish tops and bulky, colorful necklaces.”

Bickley is a big believer that when it comes to fashion, less is more. She puts a lot of thought and detail into her outfits, but is never over the top with her accessories.

Said Bickley: “I feel like girls are always trying to dress to look sexy, but it isn’t all about that. Not all outfits have to be sexy; simplicity is a great option. Less is more when it comes to the way you dress.”
