Students around campus have felt a tinge of nostalgia as the ‘90s choker necklace is making a comeback. Remembered as a staple for grunge teens, the ultra-tight necklaces have been updated to include metal chokers, beaded chokers and blinged-out chokers and were seen on the spring 2014 runways by haute couture designers, like Céline and Givenchy.

The most popular styles on campus seem to be an understated singular pearl choker and the plastic tattoo choker of punk days passed. Worn with a scarf, crop top, baggy sweater, plain T-shirt or layered accessories, the choker is an everyday necklace that adds subtle flair to simple outfits.
