Yelin announces Syracuse volleyball’s 2 new signees in recruiting class
Syracuse has signed two high school seniors to national letters of intent, head coach Leonid Yelin announced via two SU Athletics press releases Wednesday.
Middle blocker Santita Ebangwese and setter Annie Bozzo are the only members of the SU’s recruiting class of 2015.
Yelin has expressed his desire to lock up local prospects and landed one in Ebangwese. A Rochester, New York native, Ebangwese was named an Under Armour All-American. At Pittsford Sutherland high school, Ebangwese is a three-time volleyball state champion, according to SU Athletics.
Bozzo has been recruited as both a setter and a hitter at Shaler Area High School near Pittsburgh. She will graduate early to attend SU in the spring.
“She’s a very good athlete,” Yelin said in a video posted on Cuse.com, “a good student, it’s kind of what we call a package deal.”
