Scout.com ranks Richards as the No. 22 overall recruit and No. 7 at his position. He is listed at 6 feet 11 inches tall by Scout. The Orange are thin at center, with DaJuan Coleman and Chinonso Obokoh being the only players on the current roster that have experience at the position.
SU’s Class of 2015 has two power forwards — Moustapha Diagne and Tyler Lydon — and the Orange’s only commit in the Class of 2016, Matthew Moyer, is also a power forward. Each is listed at 6 feet 8 inches tall or taller.
The Orange has no commits for the Class of 2017, but has offered five-star center Mohamed Bamba, five-star guard Trevon Duval and four-star small forward Jordan Tucker, according to Scout.
