Syracuse football recruiting: Moe Neal lists Orange in top 5 schools

Class of 2016 three-star Syracuse target Moe Neal narrowed down his options to five schools on Sunday, which includes SU, Boston College, Duke, Mississippi State and Wake Forest, he announced via Twitter.

Neal is listed at 5 feet, 11 inches and 170 pounds and is classified as an “athlete” on Scout.com. MaxPreps lists him as playing running back, wide receiver and cornerback.

The Forestview (North Carolina) High School product is friends with running back Robert Washington, a four-star recruit who verbally committed to Syracuse last Saturday. The two also played together on a USA Football National Team.

After Washington committed, he began publicly recruiting other players. SU’s coaches have also ramped up their efforts since then, Neal told Syracuse.com.

As a junior, Neal ran for 2,018 yards and 29 touchdowns on 273 carries and caught 35 passes for 549 yards and nine touchdowns, according to MaxPreps.

SU’s Class of 2016 includes Washington, two-star wide receiver Sadiq Palmer and two-star offensive tackle Cam DeGeorge.
