Last week, Bryant tweeted his top five options, which included the Orange along with Kansas, Kansas State, Northwestern and Minnesota.
The 5-foot-10, 195-pound Christian Brothers College (Missouri) High School product is ranked by 247Sports.com’s composite rankings as the 58th best running back in the Class of 2016.
Four-star running back Robert Washington remains as the only running back in SU’s 2016 class. Syracuse coaches told Washington he would be the only running back in his class and Bryant would have played the hybrid position, both according to Syracuse.com.
The Orange’s roster currently includes sophomore Ervin Philips, junior George Morris and junior Devante McFarlane as well as incoming freshmen Dontae Strickland, Jordan Fredericks and Tyrone Perkins at the running back position.
In 2014, SU totaled only two rushing touchdowns the entire season.
