Former Syracuse standout Ashton Broyld is playing football at West Georgia along with former Orange teammate Wayne Williams.
Broyld, who was dismissed form the SU program this summer for unspecified reasons, has caught three passes for a total of 25 yards in four games. He also has one incomplete passing attempt. West Georgia is a Division II program in the Gulf South Conference. At SU, Broyld led the team with 52 receptions in 2013.
Wayne Williams has recorded six tackles in two games.
“I checked in on them,” SU head coach Scott Shafer said. “I’m happy to see those guys are still playing football.”
