Linebacker Parris Bennett (upper body), defensive end Luke Arciniega (upper body), cornerback Corey Winfield (lower body) and wide receiver Sean Avant (lower body) are all out with injuries for Syracuse’s (3-5, 1-3 Atlantic Coast) matchup at Louisville (4-4, 3-2) on Saturday at 12:30 p.m.
No other players are listed on the injury report, which means junior hybrid Ben Lewis is expected to return after missing the last two games with an upper-body injury.
Bennett is second on Syracuse in total tackles with 44 while Winfield leads the Orange with two interceptions and three pass breakups. Arciniega has the second most sacks on SU with four as well as 5.5 tackles for loss. Avant has four receptions for 37 yards this year.
Linebacker Ted Taylor is behind Bennett on the two-deep depth chart at strong-side linebacker while cornerbacks Wayne Morgan and Julian Whigham are listed behind Winfield. Arciniega and Avant are listed as backups.
