Syracuse (3-5, 1-3 Atlantic Coast) will travel to Louisville (4-4, 3-2) for a 12:30 p.m. kickoff on Saturday at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium, and the game will be broadcast on the ACC Network. The Orange is on a five-game losing streak and most recently lost 45-21 to No. 17 Florida State.
Louisville slugger
After starting the season 0-3, U of L has won four of its last five including wins over North Carolina State, Boston College and Wake Forest by a combined 11 points. The Cardinals forced five second-half turnovers in its win against Wake Forest on Saturday. Despite running the ball 42 times for just 68 yards, U of L still came away with the win. Louisville averages 24.4 points, 11th best in the ACC, while Syracuse averages 29.2, eighth in the conference. SU is 6-7 all-time against the Cardinals.
Holding constant
There were no changes from last week in the Orange’s two-deep depth chart for Louisville. Senior Julian Whigham remains as a backup cornerback though he played a significant chunk of time at safety against Florida State.
