“Syracuse defense changed and they don’t need many linebackers and I wasn’t hearing from nobody,” Parker said in a text message.
The Orange also picked up a commitment from linebacker Kenneth Ruff earlier on Saturday.
SU’s 2016 class is now down to 14 players. Parker, who attends Camden (New Jersey) High School, is ranked with three stars by 247Sports.com’s composite rankings and as the 51st best outside linebacker in the 2016 class. Camden teammate defensive end Jamal Holloway is still part of SU’s Class of 2016.
