Class of 2016 offensive lineman Michael Clark verbally committed to Syracuse while on his official visit, he tweeted Saturday afternoon. Clark is now the fourth offensive lineman in the class and 15th commit in total.
Clark received an offer from the Orange on Friday afternoon after he arrived on campus. SU beat out Pittsburgh and South Carolina, the two other schools in his top three. As of Friday, he planned to take an official visit to Pittsburgh next weekend.

The 6-foot-7, 277-pound Clark is ranked with three stars and as the 102nd best offensive tackle in the 2016 class by 247Sports.com’s composite rankings. Clark, who attends Downington East (Pennsylvania) High School, is the only current 2016 commit from Pennsylvania. He decommitted from Maryland, another school that had a coaching change, two weeks ago.
Clark joins Sam Heckel, Airon Servais and Liam O’Sullivan as offensive linemen in SU’s 2016 recruiting class. Heckel is the only one of the four that committed before head coach Dino Babers’ hiring. Two offensive linemen, Cam DeGeorge and Noel Brouse, committed to Scott Shafer’s staff, but have since decommitted. The previous coaching staff only planned on taking three offensive lineman in this recruiting cycle.
Syracuse’s 2016 class now consists of nine players who committed to Babers and six that committed to Shafer. There’s less than two weeks until National Signing Day on Feb. 3.
