Class of 2016 cornerback Monquavion Brinson has decommitted from Syracuse, he tweeted on Monday night.
He is the eighth player to leave the Orange’s 2016 class since head coach Dino Babers’ hiring on Dec. 5. SU’s 2016 class now sits at 11 with a little more than three weeks until National Signing Day.

Brinson is ranked with three stars and as the 86th best cornerback in the 2016 class by 247Sports.com’s composite rankings. The 5-foot-11, 167-pound Brinson also has offers from Louisville, Kentucky and Memphis among other schools. Brinson originally committed to the Orange on July 27.
Brinson attends Mays (Georgia) High School and leaves SU without any commits from Georgia. Fellow Syracuse decommits Will Harper and Darius Stubbs are also from the Peach State.
Carl Jones is now Syracuse’s only cornerback in the 2016 class.
