Ohio Gov. John Kasich to come to Syracuse

Ohio Gov. John Kasich will be coming to Syracuse for a town hall meeting on Friday as part of his presidential campaign.

The event will take place in Le Moyne College’s Grewen Hall, which is located at 1419 Salt Springs Road in Syracuse. It will start at 6 p.m. and is set to last until 7:30 p.m., according to the event’s website. Doors will open for the event at 5 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public.

In the most recent primary in Wisconsin, Kasich gained 14.1 percent of the vote and received zero delegates. In total, Kasich has 143 delegates. In order to win the Republican nomination for president, the GOP candidates need 1,237 delegates in total.

Both the Republican and Democratic primaries for New York state will take place on April 19.



Former United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton also visited Syracuse on April 1 as part of her campaign for president ahead of the New York primaries. Her event took place at the F Shed, Central New York Regional Market.

Clinton also held a roundtable discussion in Syracuse about small businesses and manufacturing jobs.
