Old Big East rivals Syracuse and Georgetown will play the second leg of their home-and-home series in the Carrier Dome on Dec. 17, according to CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein.
This season, the Hoyas dealt SU a 79-72 loss at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. to give the Orange its second consecutive loss after starting 6-0. Michael Gbinije scored 23 points to lead SU while Bradley Hayes’ 21 paved the way for a Georgetown victory.
After a two-year hiatus following Syracuse’s move to the Atlantic Coast Conference, the two teams will face off for the second straight year. This season, the Hoyas didn’t play in the postseason while the Orange made a miraculous run to the Final Four as a No. 10 seed.
In the all-time series between Syracuse and Georgetown, SU holds a 49-42 advantage.
