Syracuse men’s basketball will host Boston University for first time in 23 years on Dec. 10

Syracuse will play Boston University for the first time in 23 years this upcoming season, SU announced Thursday. The game will be on Dec. 10 in the Carrier Dome.

Boston had a record of 19-15 last season with an 11-7 mark in the Patriot League. The Terriers lost in the second round of the CollegeInsider.com Tournament to NJIT to close out head coach Joe Jones’ fifth season at the helm. BU returns its leading scorer, Eric Fanning, who put up 15.9 points per game last season, along with Chad Mosely (14.2).

The Orange holds a 6-1 edge in the all-time series between the two schools, the last matchup coming in the 1993 Carrier Classic when SU won, 89-70.

Syracuse now has 12 games on its 2016-17 schedule with announced or reported dates. Here they are:
