Syracuse opens the 2017 season on Aug. 25 and includes five games against NCAA tournament teams.

Syracuse announced its 2017 regular season schedule on Monday afternoon. The 33-game slate begins in late August with four-straight home games. The Orange will play five 2016 NCAA tournament teams over the course of the season.

After finishing 7-23 (6-14 Atlantic Coast) in the 2016 season, Syracuse will kick things off in 2017 with home games against Colgate and Siena on Friday, Aug. 25. Niagara and Grand Canyon will be in town the following day to finish SU’s four-game weekend.

Syracuse will then travel to Manhattan, Kansas, on Sept. 1 for the Kansas State tournament where it will play Wisconsin, ranked No. 3 in last season’s final coaches poll. The Orange will finish the weekend against the host Wildcats and Arkansas. Over the next two weekends, SU will ride out its nonconference slate in two different tournaments.

The Orange will begin ACC play on Sept. 20 with a home game against Boston College. Syracuse is scheduled to play North Carolina, the reigning conference champions, just once during the regular season.
