Syracuse will host Buffalo in the Carrier Dome during its 2017-18 nonconference slate. Geoff Nason of the Buffalo News first reported it on June 1 and SU Athletics made an official announcement June 20.
Syracuse has a 27-5 advantage in the series with Buffalo and has won 17 straight. They last met Dec. 30, 2001.
The Bulls finished last season 17-15, including an 11-7 mark in the Mid-American Conference and an 8-8 record overall on the road. Buffalo brings a young team with just one senior to Syracuse, and the team will try to overcome the loss of three of its top five scorers to graduation.
Here’s the rest of the Orange’s nonconference schedule:
Friday, Nov. 17: Texas Southern
Saturday, Nov. 18: Texas Southern
Monday, Nov. 20: Oakland
Wednesday, Nov. 22: Toledo
Saturday, Dec. 2: Kansas (at American Airlines Arena, in Miami)
Tuesday, Dec. 5: Connecticut (at Madison Square Garden)
