Syracuse football game day: What to know about the Central Connecticut State matchup

The Syracuse football season is upon us. The Orange take on the Blue Devils in the Carrier Dome at 7 p.m.

With the 2017 home opener upon us, here’s what you need to know as SU football begins its quest for its first winning season since 2013. The Orange is coming off back-to-back 4-8 seasons, while the Central Connecticut State Blue Devils finished 2-9 a year ago. Kickoff for Friday’s game is at 7 p.m.

How can you watch the game? The game will air on ACC Network Extra.

What are the biggest storylines surrounding Syracuse football? Check out our complete football guide, featuring embattled junior quarterback Eric Dungey, itinerant wide receiver/running back/return man Ervin Philips, and the “cows” of the offensive line.
