Syracuse University announced in an email Monday that Rob Pusch, a former member of the University Senate’s Committee on LGBT Concerns, has been appointed interim director of the LGBT Resource Center.
In early November, former resource center director Tiffany Gray left SU to take a position with West Chester University’s LGBTQA Services. She had run SU’s center for about two years.
Pusch served on the USen LGBT Concerns Committee from 1999 to 2015, according to an email from the center. He’s volunteered and worked as a youth group facilitator at the Q Center, a local LGBTQ support group, and is a member of SAGE Upstate’s board of directors, per the email. SAGE Upstate is a social services organization for older LGBT adults. Pusch is a co-founder of the Transgender Alliance of Central New York.
He’s also the associate director of SU’s Project Advance, a program that offers university classes to local high school students.
