The Final Word: Beat writers talk shop on Syracuse after its 59-45 win over Pittsburgh

Syracuse finally got back to some winning ways Tuesday, snapping a four-game skid.

Syracuse (13-6, 2-4 Atlantic Coast) managed to pull away late from Pittsburgh (8-11, 0-6) on Tuesday night in the Carrier Dome, winning 59-45. Pitt hung around mostly thanks to the efforts of freshman point guard Parker Stewart, who bombarded the Orange to the tune of seven made 3s. Still, Syracuse’s guard tandem of Frank Howard and Tyus Battle led a 14-2 run in the second half that put the game away.

Listen to our beat writers, Sam Fortier and Tomer Langer, break it all down here.
