Syracuse jumped two spots to the No. 5 team in the country in Inside Lacrosse’s newest poll.
The Orange rise in the rankings after a 23-11 season-opening win over Connecticut, in which SU started slow, but dominated the second half. Syracuse ripped off seven-straight goals coming out of the locker room for the second half and edged the Huskies 14-3 in the frame.
Nicole Levy led SU with five points, scoring three goals and recording two assists, including an impressive behind-the-back goal.
