Sophomore attack Emily Hawryschuk was named ACC Co-Offensive player of the week, the league announced Monday.
Hawryschuk set a career high in both points (8) and goals (6) against Loyola, including sinking the game-winning shot to give Syracuse the win in overtime.
The Orange’s leading goal scorer followed that with a three-goal game in Syracuse’s loss to Virginia Tech. Hawryschuk scored two of her goals in the second half, allowing Syracuse to force overtime, where it eventually fell in two extra periods.
She is tied for sixth in the Atlantic Coast Conference with 40 goals on the year.
