Alton Robinson was named the Atlantic Coast Conference defensive lineman of the week on Monday.
The nod comes after two sacks, four more tackles for loss and two forced fumbles against Pittsburgh on Saturday. The junior also recorded a career-high eight tackles.
On the season, Robinson, SU teammate Kendall Coleman and Clemson’s Clelin Ferrell are all tied for second in the ACC with six sacks each. Those six sacks are good for sixth in the country.
After a bye this weekend, Syracuse (4-2, 1-2 Atlantic Coast) hosts North Carolina at 12:20 p.m. in the Carrier Dome on Oct. 20.
