Syracuse (7-4-3, 1-3-2 Atlantic Coast) jumped four spots in this week’s United Soccer Coaches’ poll to No. 20 in the country. SU is coming off a 1-1 tie to North Carolina State on the road a game after its most lopsided win since it joined the ACC in 2013, a 7-0 domination of St. Bonaventure.
Tajon Buchanan scored five goals over the past three games to lead SU and now is alone at the top of the Orange’s points leaderboard, with 20.
Syracuse plays Clemson Tuesday at 7 p.m. to start SU’s two-game conference stretch to end the regular season.
