Syracuse ranked No. 24 after 3 wins in a row

Following three-straight wins, No. 24 Syracuse (6-4-1, 1-3-0 Atlantic Coast) snagged a spot on the United Soccer Coaches ranking list for the first time all season.
The Orange beat Akron on Oct. 1, in Ohio. Syracuse then topped then-No. 1 Wake Forest Friday, 2-0 for its first ACC win in more than 700 days. On Monday, Syracuse easily defeated Ohio State, 3-0, behind another shutout from newly-minted ACC Defensive Player of the Week, Hendrik Hilpert.
Five other ACC teams were featured in this week’s rankings: No. 1 North Carolina, No. 2 Wake Forest, No. 9 Notre Dame, No. 11 Louisville, No. 14 Virginia and No. 17 Duke. Two other ACC squads, North Carolina State and Virginia Tech, received votes as well.
Syracuse travels to No. 11 Louisville (6-2-2, 3-1-1) for a game on Friday at 7 p.m.
