After dropping a game against then-No. 12 Minnesota on the road last week and blowing out Towson on Sunday, Syracuse moved down three spots in the AP Poll.
SU (7-2) also lost freshman guard Kadiatou Sissoko for 3-5 weeks after a “minor procedure” on her right knee. She hurt her meniscus during the Cancun Challenge.
Redshirt freshman Maeva Djaldi-Tabdi was also honored, winning the Atlantic Coast Conference Rookie of the Week award for the second time this season. She averaged 12.5 points and five rebounds in the last week. She added in a five-block performance against the Golden Gophers.
Four other Atlantic Coast Conference teams cracked the Top 25: No. 2 Notre Dame, No. 5 Louisville, No. 10 North Carolina State and No. 25 Miami. Three other ACC teams — Virginia Tech, North Carolina and Florida State —received votes.
Syracuse hosts to Maryland Eastern Shore on Dec. 5.
