Syracuse opened conference play with a much-needed road win against the Fighting Irish.
Syracuse (10-4, 1-0 Atlantic Coast) kicked off conference play by defeating Notre Dame (10-5, 0-2), 72-62, in Purcell Pavilion on Saturday. The Orange’s top trio of Oshae Brissett, Tyus Battle and Elijah Hughes guided SU with 58 points. Hughes produced a career-day on his own, notching career-highs in points, rebounds and 3s. SU continues Atlantic Coast Conference play against Clemson on Jan. 9 in the Carrier Dome.
