Syracuse predicted to finish 4th in ACC; 3 players named to Preseason All-ACC Team

Syracuse opens its season with a No. 10 ranking after it was eliminated in the first round of the NCAA Tournament last year.
No. 10 Syracuse was predicted to finish fourth in the 2019 Atlantic Coast Conference coaches’ poll announced on Wednesday. No. 2 Duke was selected first with 21 votes, followed by No. 11 Notre Dame, No. 6 Virginia, SU and No. 15 North Carolina.
The Orange also had three players chosen for the Preseason All-ACC Team. Attack Stephen Rehfuss, defenseman Nick Mellen and short-stick midfielder Peter Dearth fill out the 14-player roster. The Blue Devils and Cavaliers each had four players listed.
Syracuse opens the regular season on Feb. 8 against Colgate in the Carrier Dome.
