Tiana Mangakahia named ACC Player of the Week for 2nd-straight week

Tiana Mangakahia repeated the ACC Player of the Week honor after a historic triple-double in SU's conference home-opener.
Tiana Mangakahia was named Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Week for the second week in a row. She led No. 12 Syracuse (14-2, 3-0) to its eighth-straight win against North Carolina on Sunday.
Mangakahia recorded SU’s fourth triple-double in program history and its first to include points, rebounds and assists. Against the Tar Heels, she went 11 for 20 from the field to total 34 points, while dishing out 10 assists and retrieving 10 boards.
After the game, Mangakahia distinguished herself as the best “true point guard” in the ACC.
Syracuse continues conference play this Thursday against Pittsburgh at 7 p.m.
