Syracuse (18-5, 7-3 Atlantic Coast) dropped one spot to No. 16 in the AP Poll announced on Monday. The Orange were dominated by then-No. 2 Louisville on Feb. 7 for their third loss in five games. Sunday, SU rebounded with a blowout win of Boston College.

On Monday, it was also released that Orange point guard Tiana Mangakahia is one of 30 players on the Women’s Citizen Naismith Trophy Midseason Team. The junior is averaging 15.0 points, 8.2 assists and 4.8 rebounds per game with four double-doubles. The four finalists will be named during the Women’s Final Four in early March.

Mangakahia was also named to the 2019 Nancy Lieberman Award watchlist, which recognizes the top point guard in NCAA Division I women’s college basketball. SU’s Australian-guard is the only ACC point guard on the list. Mangakahia is third in the nation in total assists (198), while ranking second in assists per game. She also leads the ACC in free throw percentage (.886).

SU hosts No. 12 North Carolina State on Wednesday night in the Carrier Dome at 7 p.m.
