Syracuse, pictured against Notre Dame earlier this season, won its last two games.

After a 2-1 week featuring two matchups against ranked opponents, Syracuse (22-7, 11-5 Atlantic Coast) dropped to No. 18 in the AP Poll.

The Orange were blown out by then-No. 4 Notre Dame, 98-68, in front of the largest Carrier Dome crowd of the season. Then, they toppled then-No. 22 Florida State 94-88 following 44 points from Tiana Mangakahia. On Sunday, Mangakahia scored her 1,000th point for the program — becoming the fastest scorer to do so (60 games) — as SU cruised by Boston College, 76-59, on the road.

Mangakahia was also named ACC Player of the Week. She tallied point totals of 17, 44 and 27 in SU’s three games. It’s the sixth time Mangakahia has been awarded the weekly honor, and the third time she’s been named this season.

Syracuse will be the No. 5 seed in the ACC tournament in Greensboro, North Carolina, and will start play in the second round, on Thursday at 11 a.m. The Orange will play the winner of the Wednesday game between Virginia and Boston College at 1 p.m.
