Syracuse released its 2019 schedule on Wednesday afternoon, highlighted by just five regular-season home games. SU will play 16 games in total, facing six opponents that made the NCAA tournament.
The Orange recorded their worst record since 2003 in 2018 (8-8, 1-5 Atlantic Coast). They failed to make the NCAA tournament for the first time in 11 years.
SU responded by strengthening its schedule, playing more games on the road than at J.S. Coyne Stadium. The Orange don’t play at home until Sept. 13 against St. Joseph’s. A week later, SU opens up conference play with a matchup against Virginia.
Syracuse will host three ACC opponents — including a pair of 2018 national semifinalists in North Carolina on Oct. 12 and Wake Forest on Oct. 25. SU closes out its season with a trip to Louisville on Nov. 2.
