Savannah Rennie recorded an assist and won eight face-offs on Friday.

At the end of the first period, the Orange had their biggest lead of the season. Syracuse went into the first intermission up 4-0 and eventually won 7-0. This was Syracuse’s biggest win in over a year-and-a-half after putting seven past RIT back in the spring of 2018.

Syracuse (4-12-1, 3-1-1 College Hockey America) traveled to Missouri to faceoff against Lindenwood (2-11-3, 0-5-0 College Hockey America). The game was over in the first period as SU cruised to a four-goal lead and eventual blowout win. The Orange set a new season-high in goals with seven and picked up head coach Paul Flanagan’s 100th conference win at SU.

The first period was all Syracuse as Lindenwood had no answer for the Orange offense. DiGirolamo led the team with two goals in the first to take her to a team-high seven goals on the season. Emma Polaski snapped a four-game point drought with a goal and Shelby Calof scored her first goal of the season to give Syracuse their best period of the season.

SU continued to pile on shots in the second period, scoring two more goals in the process. Freshman Brynn Koocher missed the past four games with an injury but came back to score her first career goal. Koocher’s score was assisted by Lindsay Eastwood, who recorded a hat trick of assists for the night.

Koocher scored again in the third period. It was a big win for SU as four players had a multi-point game. SU put nearly 40 shots on goal.

Syracuse is back in action tomorrow against Lindenwood at 2 p.m.
