With only two games remaining in the 2019-20 season, Syracuse will travel to Boston College to take on the Eagles. With a win, the Orange would secure 10 Atlantic Coast wins, and at least 17 wins in the regular season. A loss would prevent SU from finishing with a conference record above .500 for the second time in the last three seasons.

There have been two consistencies with Syracuse this season: They handle themselves against bad ACC teams and they play better on the road. While North Carolina threatened that first claim, Boston College doesn’t have a Cole Anthony. Pair that with BC’s atrocious 41% shooting clip and the Orange should have an easy time picking up a ‘W’ in its penultimate game of the regular-season. The key here is Bourama Sidibe. If the center keeps dominating, SU may have a shot in the upcoming ACC tournament.

Syracuse is coming off perhaps its worst loss of the season. It feels like we’ve written that same line a few times this year. The Orange always seem to always fall to new lows only to rise up the next game and get a big win. That, clearly, hasn’t been enough to give it any sort of foreseeable tournament resume, but it will be enough to beat the not-so-good Eagles. Syracuse gets another 10-point win under its belt before the season ends.

Remember the last game these two played? Boston College’s offense looked inept for most of the game and I wouldn’t expect Tuesday’s game to be much different. With BC’s students away on spring break and a poor performance from the team overall this year, Conte forum won’t be a scary away venue. BC doesn’t have one player that can keep up with Syracuse’s scoring, not a dominant presence down low, so the Orange’s defensive mishaps should be hidden for the night. Syracuse can score at will against a team like BC and that makes this game not a close.
