University Union to host comedians Jay Pharoah and Matteo Lane

Tickets for “A Stand Up Comedy Show” will cost $5 for students and $10 for faculty and staff.

University Union announced “A Stand Up Comedy Show” today, an event featuring comedians Jay Pharoah and Matteo Lane. They will perform at Syracuse University on Feb. 18, at Goldstein Auditorium at 8 p.m. Doors open at 7:15 p.m.

Jay Pharoah is an actor and comedian who spent six seasons on “Saturday Night Live.” He is best known for his impressions of celebrities like JAY-Z and former President Barack Obama but has most recently had roles in the 2021 Netflix films “Resort to Love” and “The Mitchells vs. the Machines.”

Matteo Lane is a comedian currently based in New York whose special is included in Netflix’s “The Comedy Lineup.” Lane has appeared on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” “Late Night with Seth Meyers” and HBO’s “Crashing.” Previously, Lane lived in Italy, where he worked as an oil painter and opera singer.

Tickets will cost $5 for students and $10 for faculty and staff. They are available for purchase online on the Student Box Office portal. The event will be limited to SU and SUNY-ESF students, faculty and staff.



In accordance with the spring 2022 Stay Safe Pledge, New York state mandates, SU COVID-19 guidelines and campus masking requirements, attendees are required to wear a mask at the event.
