Syracuse midfielder Jake Stevens was selected No. 10 in the 2024 Premier League Lacrosse Draft Tuesday by the New York Atlas.

Before transferring to SU, Stevens spent four seasons at Princeton, recording 58 goals and 11 assists. The graduate student has been a crucial part of the Orange’s midfield as a Swiss Army knife. He’s provided a scoring spark in the attack with 17 goals, while also at times playing on the defensive side of the ball. Stevens also finds himself on the wings, helping out Syracuse’s faceoff unit as well.

On March 7, Stevens had his breakout performance with the Orange. He registered a second-half hat trick, helping Syracuse take down then-No. 2 Johns Hopkins for its first top-five win under Gary Gait. Stevens also scored four points (two goals, two assists) in SU’s 18-17 win over Virginia. Stevens was the second midfielder taken behind Rutgers’ Shane Knobloch.

The only other eligible Syracuse player in the draft was goalkeeper Will Mark, who went undrafted. In 2024, Mark has been one of the best goalies in the country allowing just 10.89 goals per game. In all but three of his appearances, Mark has kept opposing teams to single digits.
