Celebrate LGBTQ+ History Month, jam at Miercoles de Musica this week

Celebrate the beginning of LGBTQ+ History Month with events hosted by the Intercultural Collective in Schine Student Center. The Collective includes the Office of Multicultural Affairs, the Disability Cultural Center and the LGBTQ Resource Center.

Miercoles de Musica
Hosted by Las Naranjas, come jam to live DJ sets Wednesday outside Schine Student Center. This is the perfect place to improve your dance moves before Calentón Music Fest later this month. The remaining Latine Heritage Month events are listed here.
When: Wednesday from 3 to 6 p.m.

LGBTQ+ History Month Kickoff
Begin LGBTQ+ History Month Wednesday with the Intercultural Collective in Schine Student Center. Learn about themes and events throughout the month-long commemoration. Light refreshments will be provided and an RSVP is required to attend. Find a list of events for the month here.
When: Wednesday from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Where: Schine Student Center, Room 132

Noche de Baile
Continue LHM celebrations with an evening of dancing in Barnes Center at The Arch. Music will include salsa, reggaeton, merengue and bachata classics. See more details in the Wellness Portal. Registration is required and will open 48 hours before the event starts.
When: Thursday from 6 to 6:50 p.m.
Where: Barnes Center, Flanagan Exercise Room 102

Orange After Dark: University Union Student Concert
Enjoy performances by student musicians and entertainers Friday night in The Underground at Schine Student Center. A valid SUID and an RSVP on ‘Cuse Activities are required to attend.
When: Friday 10 p.m. to midnight

Art Museum Community Day
Learn more about Syracuse University Art Museum this Friday and create art inspired by the “Homeward to the Prairie I Come” Gordon Parks exhibit. There will be story times at 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m., and a poetry reading and workshop with writer Kofi Antwi from 1 to 2 p.m. This event is open to all.
When: Saturday from noon to 4 p.m.
