Accident on Euclid Avenue causes traffic to be redirected

A motor vehicle accident around 8 p.m. Saturday left a Centro bus diagonal in the road and caused traffic to be redirected on Euclid Avenue.

A Route 20 James Street bus was diagonal on Euclid Avenue near Lancaster Avenue for about 20 minutes following a two-car accident. The bus was not involved in the accident, and it was only in the position it was because it got out of the way of the accident, said an officer with the Syracuse Police Department who was on the scene. Nobody was hurt in the accident and only one of the cars involved had damage, the officer said.

The two-car accident was reported just before 8 p.m. The Syracuse University Department of Public Safety redirected traffic along Euclid Avenue between Lancaster and Maryland Avenues.
