Syracuse basketball recruiting: Orange offers 2016 point guard Alterique Gilbert, per his coach
Syracuse has offered Class of 2016 point guard Alterique Gilbert of Miller Grove (Georgia) High School, his high school coach, Sharman White, announced in a tweet Monday night.

Gilbert is a four-star recruit on Scout.com and ESPN, and has received offers from Connecticut, Georgia, Miami (Florida), Illinois and a host of other power-conference schools, according to Scout. Scout lists him at 6 feet, 0 inches and 160 pounds. ESPN ranks him as the 44th-best player in its Top 60 recruits for the Class of 2016.
SU currently has one player, four-star small forward Matthew Moyer, verbally committed in the Class of 2016. Moyer, who is finishing his junior year at Lincoln (Ohio) High School, is currently ranked 58th in ESPN’s Top 60.
