Sliders on Marshall Street has closed for the time being. It's long-term status is unclear, though its phone has been disconnected and signs outside the restaurant have been removed.

The future of Sliders Burgers & Belgian Fries on Marshall Street is uncertain as the restaurant appears to be closed.

The windows of the burger joint are covered with paper, the sign on the front has been removed and the phone number associated with the restaurant has been disconnected as it goes to a Verizon Wireless general line.

A Varsity employee said he has heard the Sliders has been closed for good, but added that he is unsure if that information is true or not.

The Sliders in Kalamazoo, Michigan is permanently closed, according to Google Maps, and the phone number for the Kalamazoo location also goes to a general Verizon line.

The website for Sliders goes to Insomnia Cookies and a corporate representative for Insomnia had no comment when asked about Sliders.

Last June, Cosmos on Marshall Street also disconnected its phone and had paper covering the windows. It was permanently closed, and was eventually replaced by a Thai restaurant.
