Nissan, Jeep collide outside Park Point
Two vehicles were involved in an accident at the intersection of Waverly and Comstock avenues just outside Park Point on Thursday afternoon.
A silver Nissan GTR and a black Jeep Grand Cherokee collided. The Jeep’s front bumper tore completely off. The driver of the Jeep declined to comment. The hood of the vehicle was completely crunched in on itself. The Nissan’s passenger side door was severely dented.
The right side of the Jeep’s front bumper was touching the Nissan’s rear when responders from Rural/Metro, the Syracuse Fire Department and the Syracuse Police Department arrived. Shards of glass were strewn in the intersection, as well as the sidewalk.
At the intersection, Comstock is a one-way street and there are stop signs on either side of Waverly.
Officials from Rural/Metro and the fire department left by 3:28 p.m. Neither driver was taken for injuries. Members of the Syracuse Police Department declined to comment.
Hennison’s Collison towed the Nissan from the scene, while the Jeep was taken away by MC’s Towing. Both vehicles were cleared from the intersection by 3:55 p.m.
