More than 10 percent of the Syracuse University undergraduate student body has voted in the Student Association elections, meaning the elections will conclude Thursday night rather than being extended.

Janine Bogris, chair of the SA’s Board of Elections and Membership, said in an email Tuesday afternoon that the 10 percent threshold has been surpassed. If at least 10 percent of the student body had not voted by Thursday at midnight, the elections would have been extended until Friday.

Bogris also said that the BEM has decided this year not to share specific data on the number of votes that have been cast, a contrast to previous years.

This year’s election features two pairs of candidates for president and vice president: James Franco and Angie Pati, as well as Tyler Rossi and Roy Tin.

The election for comptroller is also contested. Cierra Britton, a student in the College of Arts and Sciences, and Geri Madanguit, a student in the College of Engineering and Computer Science, are running for the position.

Students can vote on MySlice until Thursday at midnight.
