Samuels becomes the fourth Syracuse player to transfer away from the Orange this offseason.

Redshirt junior Defensive Tackle Kayton Samuels will transfer, he announced Saturday afternoon via his Twitter.

Samuels, who sat out his freshman year at Syracuse, appeared in all 12 games for the Orange this season recording 12 tackles and one sack.

He began his SU career as an everyday starter, lining up for the first defensive snap in all 12 games during his redshirt freshman season. He only started five games the next year, raising his tackling mark from 15 to 17.

He finishes his Orange career with 44 total tackles, including 4.5 for loss.

Samuels will seek a fifth year of eligibility as a grad transfer, allowing him to play immediately next season.
