Syracuse ranked No. 9 in Inside Lacrosse preseason poll

Syracuse will start 2018 ranked No. 9 despite getting bounced early in both the NCAA and ACC tournaments.

The Orange is one of the six Atlantic Coast Conference teams in the top 25, joining Duke, Notre Dame, Virginia, Boston College and North Carolina.
Syracuse’s 2017 season ended at the hands of the Eagles, who rank at No. 4 in the country, in a 21-10 loss in the first round of the NCAA tournament. SU’s ACC run was ended by the Tar Heels, who rank a spot above BC at No. 3.
The Orange returns four of its five top scorers from last year’s team and sees two of its main contributors, Nicole Levy and Emily Hawryschuck, return with an added year of experience entering their junior and sophomore seasons, respectively.
The Orange had a No. 7 finish in last year’s final Inside Lacrosse Women’s College poll.
